The rapid development and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies will have a significant impact on the world of work. The effects, whether positive or negative, will largely depend on how those technologies are implemented in the workplace. Social partners can ease the transition by helping companies to define tailor made and fair solutions to organisational and technological changes that also enhance the quality of the working environment.
The purpose of this study is to help understand how social dialogue and collective bargaining can complement public policies and facilitate AI transition in labour markets and workplaces. It provides concrete examples of social partners’ initiatives in raising voice, advising or signing innovative collective agreements.
