In 2020, the Global Deal contributed to the organisation of the e-Academy on Social Dialogue and Industrial Relations, a flagship capacity-building event hosted by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO).
The e-Academy brought together over 160 social dialogue experts, practitioners and advocates from more than 40 countries. Participants benefitted from over 60 hours of learning and became familiar with the latest trends and developments concerning tripartite social dialogue, industrial relations, and dispute-resolution systems worldwide. Upon successful passing of the exams, participants received a Certificate of Achievement issued by the ITCILO.
As part of this collaboration, the Global Deal sponsored the participation of 54 government and social partner representatives to the e-Academy. Four special sessions to showcase the work of the partnership and highlight examples of social dialogue “in practice” were also organised.
