Global Deal event during Almedalen Political Week

 

21 June 2018 - France is a strong supporter and partner in the ‘Global Deal for Decent Work and Inclusive Growth’. On 1 July 2018, the French Minister of Labour, Muriel Pénicaud, will visit Almedalen to participate in a Global Deal event together with the Swedish Minister for Employment and Integration, Ylva Johansson. Other speakers are Eva Nordmark, President of TCO, The Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees, Jean Christophe Sciberras, Director of Human Resources at Solvay and Erik Ljungberg, SVP, Corporate Relations at Scania. The seminar is moderated by the Global Deal Ambassador Sofia Östmark.

 

Almedalen is a political summit arranged in Sweden each year. With thousands of events, seminars and debates, it is considered to be the most important forum for civic debate in Sweden.

 

The title of the seminar is “The Global Deal – how can France and Sweden inspire each other and the world?” and the speakers will discuss why the Global Deal is important and the value added for companies, trade unions and governments to join this growing global partnership. They will also discuss questions like how the initiative can lead to better labour markets and sustainable societies.

 

It is an open event and does not require registration. Everybody is welcome to TCO-landet at Strandgatan 19 from 15:00-16:00 on 1 July. It will be held in English. For more information see the Almedalen calender.
