The Global Deal is pleased to welcome Unión General de Trabajadoras y Trabajadores (UGT – General Union of Workers) as a new partner. UGT is a major Spanish trade union confederation and a founding member of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). Established in 1888, UGT is one of the oldest unions in the world history. UGT promotes social dialogue and collecting bargaining at the European, national, regional, local and company level with the aim of defending workers’ rights and creating a fairer world of work. As part of their commitment to the Global Deal, UGT will continue its efforts to strengthen social dialogue as a tool to advance decent work for all.
