11 May 2021 - The Fair Work Convention has joined the Global Deal partnership for decent work and inclusive growth. The Fair Work Convention acts as an independent advisory body to Scottish Ministers and has been in place since April 2015. The Convention strives to embed fair work across Scotland’s economy. It was founded on the principle of social dialogue and brings together unions, employers and academic expertise to provide advice and to advocate and promote fair work. The Fair Work Convention’s commitment upon joining the Global Deal is that by 2025, people in Scotland will have a world-leading working life where fair work drives success, wellbeing and prosperity for individuals, businesses, organisations and society.
