10 June 2021 – The Global Deal is pleased to welcome the Building and Wood Worker's International (BWI) to the partnership. The BWI is the global union federation grouping together around 351 trade unions with members in the building, building materials, wood, forestry and allied sectors. The BWI represents around 12 million workers in 127 countries. As a global trade union federation, the BWI commits to act in accordance with their social responsibilities when they negotiate, but also work with other stakeholders on shared objectives for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
