Every year, delegations from all member states of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) gather to set the broad policies of the organisation during the International Labour Conference. This year, the Swedish Minister for Employment and Integration Ylva Johansson hosted a roundtable discussion on the Global Deal in the margins of the conference. Other speakers included Guy Ryder, Director General of ILO and Angel Gurría, Secretary General of OECD. Several ministers and representatives from trade unions and employer organisations of Global Deal partner countries also participated in the discussion.
The objective of the roundtable was to update partner countries on the developments of the Global Deal as well as for partners to highlight their voluntary commitments and work in the spirit of the Global Deal, as well as to give input to the work ahead.
