Prime Minister Stefan Löfven launches an international group of senior advisors to the Global Deal for decent work and inclusive growth. The group will give strategic advise for the future work of the Global Deal initiative.
– I am very happy that this diverse and highly qualified group of people want to contribute to the Global Deal. Their knowledge and experiences will play an important role as we continue to take the Global Deal forward, says Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.
In total seven senior advisors will make up the group of whom all have long experience of leading roles in the private sector, trade unions, governments, academia and civil society. Two members of the group are Oliver Blanchard, former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Natalia Brzezinski who is the CEO of Symposium Stockholm and the Brilliant Minds Foundation.
– In the current poisonous environment, with the rise of distrust and populism, how to maintain and strengthen social dialogue is a priority. The senior advisors come from different horizons, each with our own expertise, and I look forward to putting our wisdom in common, says Oliver Blanchard, former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
– I am constantly looking for platforms that can create honest, productive cross-sector dialogue on empowering workers so they can form a better future collectively. The Global Deal is that platform, and I am so proud to be a part of it. Our diverse backgrounds will help lead us to solutions that can truly help people find a new role in society and for society to find a new role in better social dialogue, says Natalia Brzezinski the CEO of Symposium Stockholm and the Brilliant Minds Foundation.
